Building Momentum at the Motion + Power Technology Expo

Vector Companies shares big news and industry insights at the AGMA’s premier industry event.

The Motion + Power Technology Expo brought together the gear, power transmission, and motion control industries for three days of collaboration and the latest manufacturing advancements at Huntington Place in Detroit. For Vector Companies, this year marked the first time exhibiting at the event, and as a platinum sponsor, it offered a strong platform to connect with peers, customers, and industry partners.

Throughout the week, the Vector team participated in several high-profile discussions that centered on the company’s growth and continued investment in the manufacturing sector. During a panel interview with Matt Jaster, Senior Editor at AGMA, leadership shared insights on Vector’s expanding capabilities and the strategic value of building a unified platform for quality-driven manufacturing. In a separate podcast with Tony Gunn of MTD CNC, Bitu Chahil highlighted how the Vector platform brings together specialized expertise across companies to strengthen supply chain resilience and deliver unmatched reliability to customers.

The show’s biggest moment came during a booth event announcing Vector Companies’ acquisition of Northend Gear & Machine, marking an exciting expansion into large-gear and gearbox manufacturing. Attendees gathered to celebrate the announcement, connect with the team, and learn more about what the addition of Northend means for the future of the Vector platform.

Northend Gear & Machine, based in the Midwest, specializes in large-diameter gears, heavy shafts, precision wire EDM, and full gearbox repair and remanufacturing. The team diagnoses root causes, reverse-engineers worn components, and delivers tight-tolerance rebuilds that restore performance, reliability, and uptime for demanding industrial applications.

For Atlas Global and other brands within Vector Companies, the show reinforced a shared commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and long-term growth in American manufacturing.
